Teton trip with Ma

Me and Ma went to Driggs to hike around the tetons. This is at Grand Targhee ski area at Marys Saddle with Grand Teton in the background

Flowers werent at their peak but they were beautiful. This blue penstomon was cool

Although a weed, the thistle flowers can be beautful - this is taken from the yard of Fran and Bobs house - they let us use their new home while we were there.  Thanks Fran and Bob!

Sunset on the house

Had a few seconds to get a shot of this mangy fox near church at the entrance to Grand Teton National Park

Me and Ma did a hike around Phelps Lake which was owned by Rockefellers to recently.  They used to have a cabin on the shores - some of their cultivated Columbines still remain with really vibrant colors.  Bee snuck into the picture

Another Columbine

On the way home, we stopped at Upper Mesa Falls

Holland Lake Backpack

Me, Jolie and Aidan backpacked into Bob marshall at Upper Holland Lake for July 4th weekend. This is shot of Holland Lake from the trail - the stuff in the water is not an oil slick - it is pollen from the stream that is entering the lake

This is one of the Sapphire Lakes - beautiful lakes above Upper Holland Lake

The beargrass was great this year - Mission Mountains in the background

I had a brilliant idea to cross a creek via this down log - it worked for me but Jolie wasnt as happy - she burnt her leg on the log that was so hot from the sun
Another view of Holland Lake and the Mission Mountains

Aidan walking up the trail

Everyone is so happy because we are about to heaad down for ice cream and burgers!

This big horn sheep was waiting for us to pass by to get some water from Rock Creek

Had my flag stolen by Carsley pirates --- thought all the pirates were in Somalia???
 Sunset from our fourth camp
Jolie running the biggest rapid of the trip - Joe Hutch

Glacier Cosley Lake

Me and Jolie did a backpack into Cosley Lake in Glacier.  Camped at Cosley Lake and did day hikes - had warm weather and no mosquitoes (still some biting flies).  This is the moonrise from the beach next to the campsite.

The back side of Chief Mountain at sunset

Did a day hike past lake mokowanis up to this beautiful lake - Margaret Lake. Had to do an unintended and ultimately unecessary bushwhack to get here, but it was worth every minute of it.

Between Lake Mokowanis and Margaret Lake were some beautiful waterfalls!
At the Ptarmigan tunnel entrance

Sunrise looking up towards Stoney Indian Pass from Cosley Lake

Different sunrise view

Me and Jolie near Ptarmigan Tunnel

We saw this cute black bear on the drive up south of St. Mary on the road
