Trip to Heart Lake

Ma and I hiked up to Heart Lake. Much of the hike was in a recent burn area. Thus, there was lots of fireweed plants - the flowers were gone, but the leaves were all bright red. Felt like fall back east. Hunting season started in two days so we saw LOTS of pack horses ("dont step in that horse sh...... oh never mind it will rub off eventually") and hunters going in.

we made it to the lake!

Wonder if they named the beer after the wilderness area or vice versa?
